Supervises the Technical Services – Operations Support Team and provides the support on solution design, project implementation, daily operation support, contract review / approval and infrastructure planning to achieve company’s overall business strategiesRoles and Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Supervises the team and monitors all related activities in order to ensure that all requirements of the activities are achieved including system compliance & specifications and implementation schedule
- Analyses and provides support / advice to the team on solving technical problems in order to ensure stable infrastructure environment
- Conducts technical training within the department in order to ensure IT staff having knowledge and skills needed for carrying out their job duties
Projects & Daily Operation Support
- Organizes, plans, manages and monitors the activities in all project stages in order to ensure all requirements and milestones are met
- Coordinates with users for gathering requirements and assists in preparation of user specifications and testing plan
- Assists in the preparation of budget and documents such as business case, building permit, management memo, etc. for project approval from management
Compliance & Auditing
- Performs self-assessment on IT activities / systems to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines
- Provides support / advice to the team in self-assessment and IT audit exercise
Guideline, Procedures & Inventory Maintenance
- Reviews and updates on the technical documents such as system diagram, system installation / operational manual, etc. in order to facilitate team members performing daily system / operation supports
- Updates inventories such as hardware/software, server, contract, etc. in order to ensure the records are up-to-date
Miscellaneous Tasks
- Evaluates new technologies / solutions to recommend an optimal solution to management in alignment with corporate standards, meeting with user requirement and within budget
- Prepares, reviews and work with Law for IT agreements to ensure complying corporate standard T&C and fulfilling the required scope of work
- Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate manager in order to meet business requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- 6 - 8 years of IT related experience, preferably in insurance industry
Specific Skills
- Good technical skill in solution design, administration & support on server (Windows/Unix/Linux) / database (MSSQL) / storage (EMC) / backup (Legato)
- Practical experience in ID administration, OS hardening, system security risk assessment and audit supports
- Good team management and project management skills
- Good written and communication skills
- You are required to obtain the relevant license(s) if your job involves regulated activities
