We are looking for a Data Architect, someone who challenges the ordinary and
seeks to innovate in learning, while also balancing execution. As a Data
Architect, you'll be a part of the Data & Architecture team that supports
Lenovo’s Chief Information Office, and your mission will be to build a clean
and governed data architecture for Lenovo.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the business process
and build and review conceptual and logical models.
• Convert logical models to the solution and physical models and generate DDLs
for implementation.
• Review the models in-depth to ensure compliance with data modeling standards
• Facilitate and resolve conflicts while merging cross-domain models
• Work with the program manager to understand the project requirements and
work towards accomplishing sprint goals.
• Work with the data ingestion team for proper implementation of physical
models in the database.
• Review the physical tables to ensure all business rules and relationships
have been addressed.
• Design analytical models that support complex data analytical reporting.
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of professional experience in developing Entity Relationship
Diagrams and Dimensional Models.
• 5 years of professional experience in Data Modeling tools such as ER/Studio
Data Architect or ERwin.
• 5 years of experience in writing SQL scripts
• Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent work experience of 5 years
• Certifications preferred:
Professional Skill Requirements:
• Ability to work with diverse teams across the globe with flexibility in time
zone challenges
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal
skills
• Skilled in explaining complex findings and approaches to nontechnical or
junior-level audience
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology
• Strong customer focus experience
• Experience in making data meaningful to the customer
• Logical data model development using a top down business narrative approach
applying naming standards of modifier/primer/class words
