Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in accounting, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Experience working with project management and office application software.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor relationships and contract management.
  • Experience providing support for budgeting, forecasting and purchase orders.
  • Experience in negotiating with vendor companies

About the job

As a Data Center Facilities Specialist, you'll act as support for the Facilities Technicians in their work, managing the maintenance contracts of all facility related systems: water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution and control and monitoring Systems. You'll lead cost control and contractor management for maintenance tasks and small projects, and will work closely with the site Environment, Health and Safety department to ensure the safe operations. You have a pivotal role in ensuring that contractors deliver quality services according to agreed KPI´s and that safety measures are being performed. Local authority requirements knowledge is an aset to the site management team, helping to ensure the successful running of the Data Center.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Facilities Technicians on this team operate, monitor and support all facilities activity at Google's data centers. It covers operation and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution and control and monitoring Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statement of work (SoW) for critical and non-critical facility operations contracts.
  • Obtain facilities related vendor price quotes, prepares purchase orders, and reviews/approves invoices.
  • Work with support service vendors to resolve conflicts and issues under the direction of the Facility Manager.
  • Manage facilities system operation and maintenance expense forecasting and budgeting.
  • Act as the point of contact for small to medium projects as assigned by the Facility Manager.
