Signal Integrity Engineer Under Data Center Platform Application Engineering (DCPAE is an engineering team in data Platform Group (DPEA). The scope of the signal integrity team is working on customer high-speed I/O enabling and support, but are not limited to: - Enabling customer signal integrity technical capability - Delivering customer signal integrity trainings - Performing modeling and simulation of high-speed IO interconnects/channel for customer out of guideline (OOG) support - Working in lab to perform measurement, and correlating measurements to simulations. Specifically - This position will focus on Intel Automatic In-board Characterization (AIBC) development and customer deployment to check customer design quality and manufacture robustness.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a positive factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed may be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Transmission line theory and electromagnetics or RF and microwave
- Design and analysis of highspeed digital interconnects such as board package, connector, cable, etc.
- Electrical simulation tools such as Intel ICAT or HSpice
- Experience using Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, Time-Domain Reflectometer (TDR) or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
Preferred qualifications:
- Silicon device modeling methods which may include IBIS, AMI, or Verilog-A.
- 2D and 3D field solver tools such as HFSS
- PCB layout review and associated tools such as Allegro or Mentor.
- Scripting languages such as Matlab, Perl, or Python

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
