Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate data engineer to help build and improve components in the domain of user behavior analysis and activities.

As a data engineer in the Cloud App Security team you'll collaborate with developers and security researchers, handling real-world security related problems and developing statistical based solutions.

You will be working with huge volumes of data and helping MCAS product scale to support the rising number of customers that are onboarding it every single day.

This is an opportunity to reach tens of thousands of customers, and develop your logic based on real-life user data, and actual hack attempts.

Qualifications

Required skills:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software and Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

4+ years of experience in Object Oriented development (Java preferred).

2+ years of experience in handling high volumes of data 

Excellent teammate skills, effectiveness both in independent and collaborative work.

Ability to learn and use new technologies.

Ability to understand complex distributed systems and to know your way around them.

Passion for agile development methodology.

Knowlwdge of edvanced statistical techniques and concepts 

Desired skills:

Experience with distributed computing platforms for high-scale systems and massive amounts of data (Apache Ignite, Apache Flink preferred).

Knowledge in statistics, machine learning and anomaly detection methods.

Background in networking, data security and cloud-based applications.

Experience with databases (MongoDB, Azure Data Explorer preferred).

Experience with Linux-based environments.

Experience with Azure components and tools.

Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools (Jenkins, Chef preferred).
