Objective of job

• Central person of contact in big data platform development, implementation and operations.

• Strong expertise and experience in using a variety of data tools to build and implement data models. Proven ability to drive operation efficiency with data-based insights. Collect data and define technical approach to provide data in the Data Lake.

• Strong expertise and experience in integration management includes architecture design, infrastructure planning, platform build up/configuration, vendor steering and operationalization coordination, through an iterative and Agile development process.

• Responsible for technical requirements, designs, configuration, coding and testing and provide guidance to development team (vendor) and ensure good quality of design and code.

• Work with stakeholders throughout Daimler china data community to identify business opportunities and drive business solutions.


Task description

1. Platform development, operation and optimization.

- Lead ingestion of external and external data source into the data lake.

- Build up and develop data layers on top of the data lake to support business usage.

- Build up and develop data service to various applications.

- Hortonworks components installation, configuration, operation and optimization with support from external vendors.

- Selection and implementation of AI engine.

- Integration of all parties in overall processes in order to solve occurring issues as quick as possible

- Coordination of operationalization.

- Infrastructure planning.

2. Communication and Collaboration

- Contact person in big data platform Implementation & continuous development.

- Ensuring communication within program and project team.

- Reporting, communication and alignment in cross-functional environment.

- Develop, deliver and maintain communication plans and channels with external vendors.

- Ensure use cases data and platform readiness within project team.

3. Compliance & Legal Follow

- Be compliant with FCPA processes for IT controls for the required applications.

- Make sure the big data projects are followed legal requirement.
