Group Description The Digital Experience Engineering team is responsible for designing, delivering and supporting industry-leading digital solutions for Wealth Management clients and banking teams. We follow design thinking practices to deliver Wealth Management and Private Banking solutions that enhance our clients’ experience with our wealth management teams. Our team consists of engineers spanning multiple disciplines including research, UX, UI, microservices architecture, micro frontend frameworks, workflow automation, data science, and content management. Role Description We are looking for a data engineer to deliver data automation and data visualization solutions. You will work with a team of data infrastructure engineers, business analysts, and business information engineers to develop solutions that aid our business leadership in making data-driven decisions; you will also lead efforts in automating processes across the wealth management business. On daily basis you will work closely with colleagues in sales, finance, and operations in addition to our engineering teams as part of key programs that support our digital transformation efforts. You will use Python and Tableau to deliver solutions; you will leverage the Wealth management data platform and vendor API’s to build a data layer that delivers business information and insights to our business leadership. Qualifications Qualifications • 5+ years of data science using statistics using Python • 2+ years developing automation processes in an Enterprise environment • Experience developing Machine Learning methods • Experience with data visualization solutions such as Tableau or similar • Passionate about data science and about mentoring an organization to develop data science methods • Strong software engineering practices including test-driven development • Driven and self-motivated • Have thorough knowledge of the Software Development LifeCycle. • Working knowledge in Agile development process • Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. • Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
