The position will be primarily responsible in ASG data governance, quality and protection to ensure value & reliability is able to meet the strategies and adherence to regulation and standards

• Manage the ASG data governance roadmap & framework and ensure alignment with Enterprise Data Management of IT

• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of data and information assets of ASG; ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning

• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management of IT to ensure business data requirements and capabilities are supported, and strategize development and implementation timelines

• Work in partnership with the Enterprise Data Team for the development and implementation of data quality standards, and data protection standards

• Review existing data governance standards to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas and present these plans to managers and executives

• Prepare documents and maintain knowledge on data governance to ensure all data management methodologies are according to the defined governance framework

• Research new technologies, methods and information management systems to determine which ones should be incorporated into company data management, and develop implementation timelines and milestones

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science majoring in data architecture, information management or similar field

• At least 5 years of data architecture experience

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on database management

• Strong knowledge of database structure systems (design, maintenance, security)

• Excellent written and verbal / presentation communication skills for coordinating across teams.

• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

• Proficient with MS SQL, MongoDB, Hadoop and other database modeling and management tools
