Data Security Strategy, Data Privacy, Data Protection and Lifecycle Management

Job Description:

• Define, Design and Review data security strategy for various security-driven initiatives or business-driven initiatives for the cloud environment to support digital transformation
• Provide expert advice and educate business and employees on important data security compliance requirements
• Act as the primary point of contact within Information Security and Governance team to drive and lead any relevant regulatory discussion on issues related to data privacy, protection and security requirements and solution
• Review critical and external customer facing applications’ end to end data flow and life cycle to identify the potential data security issues and provide practical solutions to meet business needs and security compliance
• Identify strategic opportunities for Technology and Business through a strong understanding of business model, business requirements, customer needs and emerging modern technologies
• Build up strong and in-depth and proactive relationship at all levels across technology functions as well as line of business
• Deep knowledge of data security, data privacy, data protection regulations, laws and rules
• Review all the data privacy incidents to identify the root cause of the gaps and provide feasible security recommendations or solutions to support technology and business
• Work closely with application development team to proactively stay on top of latest data security solution to deliver thorough security recommendation aligned with organization's IT security technology policy & procedure.
• Identify, propose and initiate digital solution improvements for data security, privacy protection ensuring that they have a measurable effect on security enhancement and process effectiveness, with associated benefits to the business
• Understand company’s digital roadmap and collaborate effectively with colleagues across IT including but not limited to Run and Change teams and business
• Lead and work closely with Digital Technology team to propose and work out data management solution for Web-based, Mobile and other software solutions in the digital world

• Assist in data security review and coordination for Technology division application development teams, where applicable, especially on cloud security, application security and data security.
• Although this is an individual contributor role, the candidate should also expect to perform the role of a specialist mentor to the junior members of the staff within the team and be able to work with all levels

Job Requirements (Skills and Qualifications)

• Education –
  University degree in one of the following or related disciplines (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Systems)
   

• Experience –
  - Minimum 10 years of experiences of data security, data privacy or security consultant
  - Hands-on experiences of designing and/or reviewing data security or data privacy management and few years working experience as security consulting
  - Strong knowledge in data privacy, data management regulations, laws and rules in Singapore and the region

  - Working experiences in insurance / banking / consulting industry is preferred
  - Certifications related to data security, data privacy is preferable

  - Excellent Understanding of ISO27001 and ISO27002 Information Security Standards

  - Good communication and interpersonal skills
  - Good team player with a high integrity, proactive mindset, and strong ownership

• Certifications/licenses –
  Preferably a holder of one or more of the information security and data privacy qualifications.
