- Be responsible for major initiatives. Own end-to-end process, deliverables, and results.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Be able to provide a vision / road map for direction of the initiatives and projects.
- Analyze current business and system processes for potential areas of improvement.
- Perform data analysis including but not limited to transactions and contract level reconciliations, root cause analysis and data tracing.
- Own Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- Coordinate with business and technology partners throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
- Plan and develop cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation timelines.
- Present recommendations, status, and results to senior management.
- Make strategic decisions for the infrastructure and business processes related to the initiatives, while ensuing GENESIS data quality for its end consumers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; advanced professional qualifications are considered a plus.
- Be a strategic thinker with innovative ideas.
- Be able to adapt when it is outside of one’s own comfort zone.
- 10+ years of experience in business analysis, financial reporting, system integration, business transformation, project management equivalent.
- Working knowledge of products traded in financial markets (i.e. FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Loans); and some knowledge of accounting and financial calculations, such as P&L, dividends, coupons, or accretion.
- Knowledge of capital markets, financial control, operations, and/or risk management experiences.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills - Be able to manage project milestones and risks.
- Experience in business process reengineering and software development life cycle.
- Excellent in analysis and writing business and functional specifications.
- Advanced Technical skills (SQL, data modeling or querying databases), preferred.
- Strong data analysis, data mapping and reconciliation skills.
- Good communications including the ability to compile and present management level presentations.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrix organization and to manage relationships with stakeholders teams.
- Ability to identify process improvements and drive change.
- Effective leadership and team development skills
