It further develops and manages core applications enabling smooth operational running of the organisation across all functions. Group Technology support services to over 7500 end users across the globe, manage the information security operation and safeguard all our assets. Our core Group Technology functions include Technical Architecture, Network & Voice, IT Security, Service Delivery, Solutions Delivery and Asset Management.  Group Technology has a global presence across all regions with over 400 staff.

Job Purpose
In this role you will help to define and manage the data migration approach from start up through to closure following the RWS Data Migration Strategy. You will proactively develop strong relations with the key business stakeholders, project team and data team to ensure financial data and applications are delivered on time to the highest levels of quality. 
An essential part of this role will require you to have the ability to manage multiple resources (internal & external), coordinate and motivate others. 
The successful delivery of the projects is dependent on your ability to manage the smooth migration of vendor data between RWS’s legacy systems.
As a natural leader you will be required in this position to lead at all stages of the test approach and test plans, this will range from the overall project plan to test plans to implementation plans. 
You will have a proven track record of delivering results by aligning test plans to project objectives within a set time frame with clearly defined resources. 
To be successful in this position you will have to be confident in delivering data migrations and data cleansing activities while managing the expectations and requirements of external and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
* Acting as the main liaison, for data requirements, working with key stakeholders in finance to review and understand transactional data in legacy systems and offline spreadsheets 
* Ensure data requirements are in-line with the overall business strategy including single global customer and vendor lists
* Review the legacy data to identify data quality issues, where data may not be consistent with D365 requirements and coordinate with users to resolve issues with the quality of the data
* Provide direction to SMEs where required for business activities i.e., data cleansing
* Intensively test the data migration of all open transactions and balances for all legacy divisions as part of go-live readiness
* Provide balancing reconciliations between legacy finance systems
* Management and gatekeeping of custom data fields setup
* Quality assurance of data mapping, data gap analysis, data setup assumptions
* Deliver a comprehensive data mapping instruction document and ensure that the knowledge transfer is maximised within the team
* Preparation of data files for migration loads
* Monitor, review and evaluate post implementation adoption to ensure data is migrated, setup and managed appropriately
* Perform post load validations and detailed reconciliations for all migrated datasets, providing variance analysis 
* Support ad-hoc data related activities as required
* Maintain up to date data migration procedural documents
Skills & Experience
* Excel user skills 
* Good stakeholder management skills, able to lead by example, hold teams, customers and partners to account
* Possess the experience and confidence to share views and to obtain approval for project recommendations
* Demonstrate logical thought processes to help understand complex issues and technical concepts quickly to facilitate issue resolution and solution generation
