Global Business Services (GBS) within the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division has a global accountability to deliver an exceptional customer experience and create business value through compliance, standardization and data analytics. The GBS group fosters a collaborative, team focused and winning environment where employees are accountable and encouraged to develop themselves.

The Data Migration Project Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery and execution of Data Migration projects, including, but not limited to, migration of master and transactional data from legacy ERP environments to global SAP ERP. Majority of stakeholders work remotely across the globe. Business trips may be required depending on project needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient organizational and project management skills
• Experience in leading data migration projects
• Ability to execute and deliver tasks based upon defined timeline
• Remote based management

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant degree/experience set
• Project Management certification (PMBOK, Agile) is highly preferred
• SAP ERP experience is highly preferred
• Power Query knowledge is highly preferred

Responsibilities and Duties·       

• Follow and improve established data migration methodology
• Manage end-to-end ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process
• Participate in requirement gathering
• Conduct workshops with business SMEs and technical teams
• Implement transformation rules based on business requirements
• Assist business SMEs in data gathering
• Work with project technical teams on data extracts and SAP load programs
• Manage project data migration team
• Ensure quality of documentation produced
• Track project execution and produce reports
• Produce Software Lifecycle deliverables per corporate policies
