The position is responsible for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help build data products to extract valuable business and actionable insights. He / she will be supporting teams and leaders in solving business challenges using customer behavior and data. He / she must be able to translate data into actionable recommendations that will drive customer value that will contribute to overall strategic company goals.

  • Ensures strategic and operational metrics affecting customer experience (CX) are tracked, measured and analyzed to identify gaps and opportunities, recommending action points to acquire new customers or improve the customer’s interaction with the organization.
  • Develop best-suited data models and algorithms, and assess effectiveness based on available parameters. Provide the right insight in data-gathering and other data-enrichment techniques. Develop and use predictive modeling and machine-learning algorithms to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
  • Builds and leverages on key tools (AI, machine learning, etc) and dashboards in collaboration with business units to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensures reporting accuracy and quality, and explains CX performance drivers and impact to business units
  • Uphold the customer database integrity of Philam Life and works with IT and Data Science teams, among a few, to ensure customer data quality
  • Build strong in-house talent capabilities in analytics that aligns with AIA Philam Life strategic CX and business goals Implements all management policies and enforce the proper administrative action, as may be necessary.
  • Leads projects as assigned to meet operational and/or strategic goals. Creates a customer-centric culture by defining, implementing and modeling an environment conducive to fostering the ‘customer first’ approach, especially in making strategic decisions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on systems and model development.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • With 5 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, has a Master’s or PHD in Statistics (preferred), Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field, and is familiar with the software/tools.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in depicting rationale of their findings in easy to understand terms for the business
  • Proactive and flexible attitude, with willingness to take an “all hands-on deck” approach
