Objective of job
RD China will have varrient of data for research and development for vehicles, include the battery testing data, battery life-cycle data, production data, supplier test report and certification data. As a data scientist to support RD functions, you must know how to collect those data and setup logical data structure to ensure business running smoothly. For future business function of RD, the data also need to be used for company sustainability strategy to setup the business modal support company CO2 emission calculation modal.
Provide the professional report based on different virrant of data to support business to make decisions, enhance current business modal and work on future company strategy. Collect data from current data platform in the company, eg. NEV backbone, RTM… and support BU to setup the tool, data analyse and report generate based on business stratagy.
As a data scientist in the team you will…
•Integrate and prepare large, varied datasets, using specialized databases and computing environments
•Turn data into critical information and knowledge, and help business to setup reports
•Maps data sources, documents data architecture, data interfaces, and data movement to have an accurate view of the larger data picture
•Perform data acquisition, data preparation, data cleansing, data modeling, analysis and visualization
•Responsible for the overall data warehouse and data analytics strategy within the organization
•Work closely with our project managers, business units, data analysts and other IT teams
•Communicating with Business Units, plan the subsequent analytic activities from data acquisition up to production level implementation
•Defines ways to capture the relevant data and pre-processes and cleans the data for analysis
•Deep dives into massive data sets to answer key business questions
•Use and share new ways of analysis within the team
•Able to manage and lead data projects with great team spirit.

-Analyzes structural requirements and builds data pipeline and models for new software and data analytics applications

-Uses machine learning algorithms, libraries and tools to build machine learning and statistical models
-Ensure use cases are operated in time & communicated professionally
-Drive development and implementation of the big data use cases
-Drive vendor selection and steering, control, contract management
-Coordination of operationalization
-Support business to generate the report based on virrant of data

-Be the central person of contact for use case finalization & implementation, drive a continuous development of data science methods
-Identify and describe significant business opportunities in different Daimler business units together alongside your business partners
