Job Description
Looking for challenging role? If you really want to make a difference - make it with us Siemens Energy is seeking a talented and motivated data scientist to enhance its large rotating machines' efficiency, operational lifetime, and sustainability through analytics on large-scale industrial data. You will strengthen our capability in solving energy challenges using machine learning and data analytics, thereby unlocking emerging methods for operations, maintenance, and asset management. As a data scientist, you will lead and develop fault diagnostics, prognostics methodologies, and digital twins for various assets in Siemens Energy's product family of large rotating machines, including large generators and auxiliary systems. You will leverage your expertise in system reliability, maintainability, and product life cycle management to define condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies for various components and subsystems. In addition, you will leverage your expertise in system reliability/maintainability and product life cycle management to define Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies for various components and subsystems. You will use data-driven/Physics-based/Hybrid modelling techniques and analytics to solve challenging problems in the energy sector, such as data-driven asset diagnostics/prognostics, optimization of operations and maintenance. Your new role – challenging and future-oriented • Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions • Influence standard modelling and design practices • Work with customers and stakeholders to implement, test, and deploy solutions • Work in cross-functional teams to interconnect R&D, operational, testing, and market data and develop associated solutions • Build complex mathematical, statistically sound, and robust models that accurately predict behaviour and improve over time with additional data and learnings • Create the conceptual, high-level design of models, software and data solutions • Recommend CBM approaches to meet stringent Systems and Program requirements • Maintain, implement and share Lessons Learned with the community • Identify business opportunities by data analysis of Siemens products operations • Design, implement, test and deploy scalable data analytics and predictive solutions to support Siemens Energy turbogenerator R&D business You will have a data-driven, results-oriented and self-motivated approach to problem definition & subsequent solving. You will perform a proof-of-concept study and design algorithms that leverage data analytics for Predictive methods in data-driven reliability assessment/degradation modelling, and develop asset management tools that use large-scale industrial data, Develop digital twins of assets, systems, and subsystems for condition-based service interventions. Build ML/optimization software for customer applications We don’t need superheroes, just super minds · A Master’s or PhD in (Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics etc.). • Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis with significant hands-on experience in AI / Data Science. • Knowledge and independent research capability in data analytics methods for asset diagnostics/prognostics and large-scale optimization, with a track record of publications. • You need to have at least 4-6 years of experience in data analysis and model development. • You should have the ability to work as an individual contributor (IC role). • You must have a customer focus and practical stakeholder management skills. • Must have good analytical, debugging and tracing skills. • You must have expertise in statistical modelling and analysis, • Prior work on degradation modelling and sensor-driven diagnostics/prognostics. • Knowledge in signal processing, statistics, time series forecasting, probabilistic machine learning and deep learning frameworks is necessary. • Knowledge of data wrangling, cleaning, and visualization techniques is necessary. • Programming skills in Python/R/MATLAB, and demonstrable skills in standard data visualization libraries like matplotlib, seaborn, bokeh, plotly, ggplot2 etc. and deep learning frameworks including Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, CNTK etc. • Demonstrable history of production-ready algorithm/model development and hyperparameter tuning. • Has worked in agile projects with tools such as Git, Leankit, Jenkins and Jira • Experience in developing & deploying the end-to-end data science pipeline into production. Must Have : • Understanding of different Cloud Systems, knowledge of AZURE/AWS Cloud • Experience in working with and creating data architectures. • Knowledge of querying SQL & No SQL databases. • Knowledge in the prognostics health management domain and a good understanding of the estimation theory, time-series analysis, signal processing and system identification. • Basic knowledge of FastAPI, DASH, Streamlight, and Gradio would be beneficial. • Exposure to secure coding is beneficial.
