Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

The Data Security Engineer plays a key role in shaping how we support our strategy for Information security and data protection. This exciting role will focus on the identification, implementation and operation of technologies that discover and classify data while ensuring the appropriate protections are in place. In a world where Cyber Crime is a headline every week, this activity is critical to Mars to defend against increasing and evolving threats and ensure adherence to standards.

 

What are we looking for?

• Strong Project Management experience supported by industry standard Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent experience
• Proven delivery using Agile methodologies and tools
• A background in implementing / monitoring operations on large, complex systems
• Broad experience with infrastructure and application integration
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle, Service Management and Information Security beneficial but not necessary

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Implement and operate solutions to find and protect personal data/PII and other sensitive business data within the Mars enterprise.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for technical solutions and processes needed for personal data/PII and other sensitive business data discovery and monitoring to meet Mars Standards.  
• Collaboration with the wider program team and Digital Technologies, automating solutions where possible
• Collaborate with Data Privacy/legal and IA to identify needs.
• Partner with Security operations and assurance; to share best practice, identify needs, reuse existing tools, etc.
• Coordinate project activities and milestones including market rollouts, business integrations in accordance with Mars Standards: plan, scope, finance, success metrics, risks and dependencies using industry standard methodologies
