Job Description
#### Position Description:
Data Steward role is to handle the data management process of our
customers/business partners data. It requires daily communication with
business users and functions, coordination of information from different tools
and sources, cooperation with other COE teams and internal Lenovo teams.
Responsibility for corrections and accuracy of processed data, ensuring that
all reports are of the required quality, including regular maintenance of
customers/reseller and part matching and performing weekly data quality checks
on reports. Processing ad hoc requests, calls, responsibility for analyses of
trendlines. Certain level of analytical thinking and data management is a
requirement.
• Maintain best of breed Customer/Business Partner (BP) data, updates made on
time and on requested quality level
• Cleanup records in internal tools
• Produce meaningful data and analytics for business decision making
• Enhance data quality using customer, reseller and part matching tools.
• Assume responsibility for weekly report checking and investigation of any
data anomalies
• Effectively resolve queries and communicate the results to the originator.
• Assist in providing cover for other team members, when they are absent from
the office.
• Identify opportunities to streamline & improve process.
#### Position Requirements:
• University education (can be a graduate)
• Previous experience in a Customer facing environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to work with various software packages (e.g. MS Office) - Excel
advanced
• SQL writing queries - welcome
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• The successful applicant must be a Team player, show enthusiasm to change
and adapt accordingly. English is a requirement, additional language are a
plus (French, Spanish, Italian or German). Very good use of Microsoft excel.
Would need to enjoy working with many cultural differences."
