Responsible for providing application development and support services to meet AIA's business needs

Objective:  Development of Database scripts and ETL pipelines for Data platform project in Azure Cloud.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Development of stored procedures and SQL scripts in Azure Postgresql.
• Linux shell scripting and deployment.
• Building real-time and batch ETL pipeline using Azure data factory and Kafka.
• Perform data mapping from required source systems, conduct data profiling and design schema for storing /querying data.
• Perform unit & System Integration Testing.
• Code deployment using Jenkins and Bamboo (CI/CD).
• Automating the jobs using Autosys / Control-M.
• Peer review of code and the logic applied in the projects.
• Preparing automated test cases and scripts.

Qualifications:

• Education – Degree in IT or equivalent
• Experience – 4- 7 years’ experience with Relational and Distributed Databases for e.g. Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or HANA.
• Strong development experience in SQL, UNIX/Linux Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and Database design etc.
• Strong development skills in Python/Java.
• Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake) desired.
