Objective of Job:
- Provide support to key application systems with main focus on database application support.
- Provide support to IT teams on database tuning and optimization, including but not limited to the activities of incident support and trouble-shooting, problem analysis and solving, application system operations, proper communication for the purpose of transparency.
- Work with vendors and ITT teams on database performance tuning, trouble-shooting, etc.
- Provide instruction and solution to IT application teams on DB related topics.
Task Description:
1. Database Performance Tuning and Incident Support
- Be responsible for the activities in daily operation for DB applications and the related incident/problem management support.
- Proactively monitor and conduct database performances tuning for MBFS China core applications, and propose solutions for existing/upcoming issues.
- Provide database monitoring and support for core applications in project/CR release phase.
2. Support IT Project and Operation Service Deliveries
- Propose database related solutions and consultant service for application team’s requirement, e.g., database setup, data migration, etc.
- Support application team to resolve database related issues.
- Provide support for IT projects to improve the service operation and system stability/performance.
3. Central DB Management and Operation
- Be responsible for Central DB platform management and operation.
- Setup and maintain automation script, user manual, operation guideline, etc.
4. Supplier Management
- Manage the suppliers with the aim to reach the database optimization and operation goals.
- Coordinate database troubleshooting, tuning, optimization, and requirement engineering with the supplier.
- Review the delivery of the supplier.
- Conduct supplier contract, process management and performance review.
