Position Summary

Dealers are responsible for ensuring that all our guests receive a quality gaming experience. They are knowledgeable in casino games and provide outstanding customer service. No prior experience is necessary to apply for this position; being good with numbers is helpful; applicants must hold a valid Macau ID card.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
    • Deals table games and ensures adherence to casino policies and
    • Assists with or completes customer buy-in transactions
    • Assists with or completes fills and credits on the table games
    • Is alert to the play of the game; ensures all losing bets are picked up and pays winning bets correctly
    • Educates players on the proper rules and procedures of the table game
    • Responsible for table game security at all times
    • Maintains a clean and neat chip rack at all times
    • Understands regulatory currency reporting requirements (AML) as it relates to table game player activity
    • Exchanges paper currency for playing chips
    • Ensures that wagers are placed before cards are dealt, roulette wheel is spun, dice are tossed, cash bets are booked (Craps)
    • Calls the game
    • Pays winning bets and collects losing bets
    • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures

  • Hospitality and Courtesy
    • Actively promotes City of Dreams’ and can enthusiastically tell others about City of Dreams products and services
    • Ensures that the gaming floor and tables remain clean and free from clutter
    • Personally takes responsibility for their work area
    • Adheres to company established personal hygiene, grooming and presentation guidelines
    • Receives guests in a warm and welcoming manner
    • Listens and is attentive to the needs and requirements of our guests
    • Identifies the needs of our guests and offers to help accordingly
    • Is considerate and understanding of our guests in every occasion
    • Upon our guests departure, always sincerely thanks them and expresses our looking forward to their return visit
    • Is attentive to and assimilates into the topic that interest our guests
    • Is always “in character” when performing job duties
    • Treats all guests and fellow team members with respect and courtesy
    • Takes every occasion to offer assistance
    • Takes “ownership” of guest problems until they are resolved

    • Acts to protect and preserve property at City of Dreams. All areas, equipment and furnishings are kept exceptionally neat, clean and in good repair. Reports defective or broken equipment and furnishings

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position

  • Physical Demands
    While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member will be required to maintain a positive facial expression and body language for long periods of time.
  • The Team Member will be required to meet all appearance guidelines while on duty.
  • These physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Work Environment
    • Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environments such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke and fragrances
    • Must be able to tolerate second hand smoke
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Will be exposed to electrical and other hazards.
    • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Qualifications

Experience

  • KSAs (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Congenial disposition and team player attitude required.

The majority of the team member’s time will be spent in public contact with guests and other team members; therefore experience in serving the public, performance arts, public speaking or any activity involving public contact is preferred.

  • Licensing Requirements - Nil

Skills / Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of the Gaming industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
