Position Description: About the Team: Global Smart Support is a team of professionals under Lenovo’s Rest of World (ROW) Services who drive digital transformation of the services business through solutions development, Go-to-Market and strategic customer engagement. We build an ecosystem of partners to create various digital solutions that innovates the conventional services and support offerings. We are working in the areas of devices and IoT to create, drive and grow business opportunities globally. Position Summary: As GSS’ Technical Delivery Manager, you shall drive technical conversations with internal and external stakeholders, as well as playing a key role, to deploy solutions for customer and providing after sales support & engagement thereafter. As an important member within a startup-like team, you’ll embrace the can-do spirit, exercising your creativity and resourcefulness to overcome practical challenges, and help the team and product perform better for our market and customers. Responsibilities: 1\. Work closely with Product Manager and developers to develop deep product understanding and technical knowledge on GSS’ home grown products as well as OEM/ODM partner solutions. 2\. Support the Product team to brainstorm, research, and test available technology-based solutions in the market for to meet specific technical requirements and business needs 3\. Participate in the process to formulate certain technical decisions made for GSS products and solutions, framed within short term, medium term, or longer-term time frames. 4\. Be part of a larger cross functional team, supporting internal stakeholders in customer engagement during the presales process. This includes: • Understand the problems or pain points faced by the Customer or market • Help stakeholders understand what GSS product can offer • Ideate possible alternatives or workarounds 5\. Responsible for project deployment and delivery, which includes working with remote project teams to configure and setup the necessary hardware, devices, systems, connectivity, and software components (application, database, API end points etc.) as needed to complete the delivery scope 6\. Provide after sales support to Customers, working closely with Operations and Product team to resolve issues. #### Position Requirements: Experience/Qualifications 1\. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or possess relevant certifications in terms of technology or software quality control/assurance 2\. 5+ years’ experience in customer facing roles, driving and completing the delivery of technology-based solutions, as well as providing after sales technical support 3\. Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, or cloud technologies from AWS or Azure is a plus 4\. Strong knowledge in IoT, Web, Internet and/or mobile applications technologies. Experience in enterprise grade cloud-based platforms would be an advantage. 5\. Practical experience with: • Breaking down and translating business requirements or problem statements from users and customers into possible solutions • Implementing systems that are distributed across different geos. • Systems integration, for example: 3rd party enterprise systems, SSO integration with customers’ AD/AAD or ServiceNow systems • Experience in working with edge devices, internet enabled sensors or internet-enabled machines • Experience with deploying solutions on IaaS providers, such as Azure or AWS 6\. Sound knowledge or familiarity with: • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) • Server-side Java based and web-based technologies, as well as working with data and databases (SQL, NoSQL) and messaging technologies • Authentication and authorization technologies, e.g. oAuth, SAML or LDAP • Database sharding concept • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) or DevOps • Key cyber security and data privacy concepts, including secure coding practises 7\. Emphatic towards different cultures and has the desire to work with a global team 8\. Willingness to work with teams located in different time zones 9\. Strong proficiency in spoken & written English. Bilingual abilities, especially business level proficiency in Mandarin will be a big plus. 10\.
