The Global Pursuit Organization plays a pivotal role in landing Enterprise Services Strategy with customers and enabling their continuing Digital Transformation. As a leader in this organization, you will be focused on creating customer value through the Pursuit process, innovating how Microsoft approaches Pursuit and capture management, and leading a practice of high performing Services professionals. This role reports to the Global Pursuit Time Zone Leader.

The Global Pursuit Organization is looking for a passionate, purposeful leader to join the management team and lead the Business Applications pursuit function in Asia Timezone. The DM Manager is responsible driving a high-quality presales process that ultimately yields client success through first-class delivery execution. The Global Pursuit Organization is looking for a leader who can coach great performances and partner with area sales and domain delivery to land successful Digital Transformation projects with our clients. The Pursuit function of this team leads the effort to scope new Apps & Infra projects and drive continuous improvements efforts. The Pursuit function and its leader have a direct impact on Global Pursuit Organization scorecard performance and profitability.

The Global Pursuit Organization DM Manager leads a high-performance team of seasoned Pursuit Leads well versed in sales and delivery management. The role reports directly to the Global Pursuit Leader and closely collaborates with other Pursuit TZ Leads and DMM's, Domain DM Managers, Global Resource Management, Area Services Sales Managers, as well as Domain Time Zone and WW Apps & Infra leadership teams. Ultimately the DM Manager is on point to drive an agile, effective deal pursuit process that results in high quality deliveries, effective utilization of resources, and adherence to Pursuit standards.

Our Enterprise Services business is transforming and evolving. This function is the connective tissue between sales and delivery. The Global Pursuit Organization needs a leader who can keep pace with the aggressive rate of change while being a positive disruptor and contributor to the overall success of our global practice.

Responsibilities

Attract, Develop & Retain Talent – 20%
Attracts, develops, and retains talent. Recognizes team members' strengths, aligned to capability needs, resulting in strong presales and delivery results. Facilitates an environment of inclusion that leverages diverse perspectives and talent, to better represent and understand our global customers.

Delivery Results through Teamwork – 20%
Leverages team to drive opportunities for additional Services delivery through timely and accurate presales support (Scoping, etc.). Reviews Portfolio of deals to ensure deal quality and velocity.

Delivery Management – 20%
Leads a consistent rhythm of business that includes the daily intake and review of new pursuit requests, assignment and management of pursuit workload, and review and approval of deals. In addition, gives other domain stakeholders visibility into the delivery pipeline and forecast while also providing insight on the performance of the pursuit function overall (success rate, delivery mix, etc.). Ensures alignment with Services Sales organization objectives and deal priorities. Reviews current portfolio of work regularly to ensure the presales effort is on track and aligns well with domain strategy/portfolio. Handles escalations related to the pursuit process and ensures adherence to policy.
Relationship Management – 20%
Leads team to deliver successful solutions/deal proposals & ensures business value whilst maintaining high (internal/external) customer/partner satisfaction. Supports the Domain capacity planning process. Serves as a point of escalation.

Optimizing Business Results – 10%
Consistently manages areas of fiscal responsibility, staying within budget, and effectively managing resources. Focuses on Domain profitability & risk management. Achieves & frequently surpasses personal & team goals from quarter to quarter.

Change Leadership & Adoption – 10%
Ensures that his or her team is guiding customer/partners through relevant change initiatives. Is competent in core change-management methods and techniques. Delivers proactive change management plans leading business transformation and evolution through IP reuse and WW offerings.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8 - 10 years of experience managing people in a consulting type role.
  • 5+ years' experience working with Apps & Infra related Microsoft
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science, Engineering or 4 years management experience, Master's Degree preferred.
