The Opportunity:
AIA are seeking a Delivery Resource Manager to have overarching responsibility for AIA’s NZ contingent Project Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts. As a Deliver Resource Manager, you support a strong employment brand and relationships for AIA NZ with agency and vendor partners.
This is a 12-month fixed term role.
About the Role:
- Support a high-performance culture across the cross-functional delivery teams, in line with AIA’s values and an agile mindset, with a focus on continued learning and innovation.
- In partnership with the wide Project Delivery team, support the effective management of resourcing levels, ensuring appropriate deployment amongst the project and delivery teams, and optimum allocation of people resources.
- Support the wider Portfolio Delivery team to have a forward looking view of demand and supply to ensure contingent resources are identified and on-boarded at the right times to support the successful execution of the portfolio.
- With the support of a Resource Administrator efficiently manage the end to end processes for contingent resources including internal approvals, identification, sourcing, on-boarding through to and time sheeting and invoicing. This include seeking on-going opportunities to continuously improve the quality of the experience for all parties and improve the efficiency of processes.
- Support wider Project Delivery Team with the on-going review of resource make up to ensure alignment to the strategic delivery plan as well as the mix of resource type (contract, perm, max term) to ensure cost efficiencies for AIA.
- Continually review processes and practices that pertain contingent workers assigned to delivery to ensure streamlined and productive.
About you:
- Team leadership experience with an ability to manage staff and prioritise multiple conflicting requirements within and across delivery initiatives.
- Experience in contingent talent sourcing and procurement including fostering strong sourcing networks.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and effectively communicate with stakeholders from across the organisation.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in highly pressured & volatile environments at speed and with agility, with experience leading through uncertainty and ability to know when to pivot.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with an enterprise view.
- Ability to establish, implement, advocate and manage new recruitment and onboarding processes and procedures.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in working with both Waterfall and Agile principles and practices, including an understanding of the value of individuals and interactions over processes and tools and the importance of collaboration.
- Strong understanding of all multiple delivery methodologies and processes (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, SDLC, Six Sigma etc) and ability to identify and utilise key tools and processes to ensure delivery success in collaboration with relevant leads in the wider delivery community (People and Culture, PMO, Strategy and Technology).
Qualifications
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Agile SAFe Certification (preferred)
- Business Analystics & Testing Certification (preferred)
- PMBOK or Prince2 Certification (preferred)
