What you will be doing:

  • Lead, manage and act as property champion for the Deloitte programing to ensure all service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Frequent coordination between departments and divisions to improve communication about guest needs
  • Remain up to date on changes in loyalty programming and cascading training through the relevant teams
  • Monitor and coordinate Deloitte reservation process
  • Monitor and coordinate billing process
  • Ensure Deloitte pantries are stocked and maintained, conducting regular inventory reviews and in person spot checks
  • Guide and support the Deloitte Coordinator(s), Pantry Attendants and Housekeeping Team as required
  • Review post stay surveys with DU team, attending regular meetings to review action plans to improve guest experience
  • Communication of survey results and trends to key leaders in hotel
  • Coordination with Fairmont Gold and Housekeeping leadership as necessary
  • All other duties as assigned
     

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management an asset

When the hotel opened in 1929 it was the tallest building in the British Common Wealth and contained 1,048 rooms, a concert hall, library, extensive bakery, radio station and even a hospital. Today, this essential downtown landmark has completed a multi-million dollar transformation, reimagining its lobby, rooms, dining venues, event spaces, and Fairmont Gold – the property’s exclusive hotel within a hotel luxury experience.
