As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for consolidating and understanding sales and marketing data to produce demand plans/forecasts for manufacturing, procurement, logistics and specific markets. You will also identify and establish solutions and provide recommendations to fulfil customer demands while meeting business expectations. In your first few weeks in this demand planning role, you can expect to: Be responsible for all day-to-day demand planning activities, including analysis of current trends, external impacts, key strategic initiatives, product life cycle changes and new product introductions Ensure the timely replenishment of the distribution network through the timely processing of planning messages and subsequent purchase orders Work as part of a cross-functional team to achieve availability, LIFR shelf life and working capital/operational targets through proactively managing exceptions and developing contingencies to address the same. To apply for this Demand Planner role, you will need a degree or Higher National Level in an Engineering or Scientific subject and experience in a relevant supply chain environment. You will also require the following: Experience in demand planning and operations/manufacturing, preferably in the medical diagnostics industry Knowledge of master production scheduling, MRP and planning systems ERP/MRP system experience essential Understanding of computer software including Word, Excel and Access.
