Eaton’s ES-Americas, Canada Division is currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our dynamic team. This position is based at our Burlington, ON location and offers a hybrid work from home model. Position Overview: To develop, analyze, establish, and execute tasks within the Eaton Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) system, by communicating procurement requirements to vendors, coordinating operational demands within the operation, and maintaining an acceptable internal level of inventory to support marketing forecasts and supply chain demands. The successful candidate will be actively engaged in all relevant Eaton Business System & Supply Chain processes. In this role, you will: Incorporate the Marketing forecast into the Forecast/Procurement/Capacity plan, communicate 30-60-90 day procurement plan to vendors and follow up on a weekly basis, and also provide actual shipment details within Forecast/Production Plan to assess forecast accuracy. Actively manage approximately $5M of inventory in relation to Fill Rate levels and inventory targets by continuously analyzing inventory levels data, slow moving inventories, and Non-Conforming materials, then take appropriate actions with Marketing and Finance to reduce inventory levels. Develop inventory and procurement plan based on historical review, Marketing and Eaton location forecasts, then communicate with Marketing & EatonCare to align customer lead-time expectations on supply related issues. Ensure timely planning and execution of manufacturing and purchase orders to: achieve fill rates and customer demand and fill rate objectives, analyze Stock Fill Rate failures to develop and execute corrective actions, and communicate supply issues to plant locations, EatonCare and /or Marketing as required. Utilize various planning techniques and Kanban processes to support material availability and reduce cycle time while maintaining ERP health. Analyze, maintain, and approve purchasing orders ensuring promise date alignment. Create and reschedule procurement orders for material to support stocking policies and fill rate objectives. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education and Experience Post-secondary Degree or Diploma specializing in Business or Materials Management CAPIC or APICS Certificate 2-5 years in a ERP / Materials or Logistics environment Sound knowledge of products and systems purchasing and accounting policies Strong problem-solving expertise with excellent time management capabilities Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills required Advanced knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management Advanced computer skills especially in MS Office and database management We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
