Role: Run S&OP meetings for South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa (SASS) region Lead the day to day activities relating to demand planning, including the Demand Review Meetings and any operational issues Support replenishment planning for global supply from AbbVie sites and 3rd party suppliers managed HUB’s. Identify and support the resolution of potential customer service issues. Monitor and report actual stock outs, help identify potential low or excess stock positions, and support the resolution of potential issues to avoid service issues or scrapping. Provide market supply chain support to product launch planning & discontinuations KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Describe scope: % of Time or Importance Run Demand Review forums for his/her respective markets to ensure a proper demand driven S&OP approach. Collaboratively develop, implement, and sustain a Best-in-Class monthly S&OP package driving ongoing forecast excellence. Coordinate monthly S&OP meetings, create agenda, take meeting minutes and necessary follow-up actions. Prepare monthly S&OP package and identify key issues impacting LBE/Plan. Monitor KPI evolution monthly by Product, reviewing and tracking market/ region action plans oriented to improve KPIs. Provide support to Associate Finance Director as necessary to improve financials metrics. Clear understanding of upside and downside risks to forecasted demand volumes and identification and execution of mitigating actions. 30% Assist Finance Director or Regional Demand Planners with special projects 20% Support replenishment planning for global supply from Allergan sites and 3rd party suppliers managed by GSC. Ensure market inventory and purchase order data are up to date and correct (e.g. PO receipts and confirmation updates) and uploaded to Infor. Review and agree inventory planning parameters calculated by GSC, with particular attention to any market specific characteristics that might impact planning strategy or parameters. Review and confirm replenishment plans calculated by GSC for the market, with focus on any factors not captured in the Infor planning. 10% Identify and support the resolution of potential customer service issues for export markets Review market stock and orders position to identify any stock outs, and work with Global Demand Manager, S&M and management team to resolve and minimize impact. Respond to Infor inventory alerts to amend orders or action excess inventory to address potential issues. Communicate any potential issues to local management team. Attend and input to weekly Customer Service reviews providing clear and prioritized summary of issues for market. 15% Monitor and report actual stock outs, help identify potential low or excess stock positions, and support the resolution of potential issues to avoid service issues or scrapping. Weekly reporting of out of stocks with comments on impacts and resolution. Review monthly reports of projected out of stocks from GSC, and manage actions to avoid or mitigate. Review excess stock reports and produce action plans to reduce e.g. order changes, repacking, working with Demand Manager on opportunities to increase demand. Report potential scrapping and actions to mitigate this. Ensure monthly stock reconciliations (Actual physical stock versus Expected stock) 10% Provide market supply chain support to product launch planning, discontinuations. Work with Commercial team and Launch Lead regarding new product launches. Plan initial stock builds with GSC and confirm initial purchase orders. Support launch planning updating with stock availability and expediting order parameter and order changes with GSC dependent on product performance. Work with commercial to identify discontinued and use up products and support communication with GSC. Assessing supply situation, and input to feasibility and costs to serve in PAR process. 5% Customer Relationship Management for export markets Improve service levels to customers. Identify and implement solutions to improve service levels provided to the business. Manage customer complaints and feedbacks. Liaise with relevant stakeholders for the action plans. 10% Qualifications Education and Experience Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business related discipline 3+ years Supply Chain Operations and Demand Planning experience gained in a multinational environment Financial Acumen Good understanding of pharmaceutical business Discretionary: Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations experience A recognized professional qualification in a supply chain discipline International logistics and inventory management expertise Process Improvement and Lean Six Sigma SAP, JDA, DX Dashboard experience / knowledge desirable Very good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Strong character with ability to lead MS Office advanced user Travel No Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC About AbbVie AbbVie’s mission is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow.
