About the Hotel

About the Role

In this role, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading the kitchen team. Key duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead the Kitchen team in the absence of Head Chef and Sous Chef
• Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations including buffet breakfast, a la carte dinner, cafe and room service 
• Assist the Head Chef with creating, costing & implementing new menus
• Be creative to produce high quality dishes that delight our guests  
• Ensure that food standards are maintained according to established recipes and standards
• Have a strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
• Ensure strick stock roation and minimum wastage

Skills and experience

• You are trade qualified and have relevant experience in a similar role in a hotel environment
• An energetic and proactive enthusiasm to develop your culinary expertise
• Genuine coaching & developing leadership style
• A positive can do & guest focused attitude
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holiday periods
