Job Overview


Contribute to the overall objectives of Van USA. Ensure the competence in technical repairs & quality. Ensure service and diagnosis solutions for new model launches. Ensure a proper consultation for technical issues. Develop cost effective and fast available repair solutions for complex technical problems. Contribute to the VAN After-Sales failure resolution process. Support analysis and preparation of field measures and recall activities. Find and ensure implementation of customer specific solutions, e. g. in case of special use of vehicles. Collaborate closely with NAFTA After-Sales, VAN After-Sales Germany, Charleston Plant, QM and with R&D.


Responsibilities
- Requires the supervision of 3 full-time employees and 0 part-time employees.

- Responsibilities include adhering to the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures by interviewing, recommending hiring, training requirements, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating team/individual, appraising performance, developing team/individual plans for technical and professional skills, recommending rewards and disciplinary actions (addressing complaints, resolving problems, recommending terminations).

- Factory Customer Service: Dealing with technical hardship cases and solution finding based on complex technical complaints workshops cannot handle which are forwarded from the technical teams in Atlanta, Canada and Mexico. Defining the strategic direction of the Factory Customer Service within the markets in line with technical headquarter. Ensuring speedy and optimal technical solutions in collaboration with the technical teams in Atlanta, Canada and Mexico as well as Quality management or research & development. Ensure a support for specific NAFTA related diagnostics and retail literature specifications.

- Compliance: Informing employees about the relevant provisions and instructing them to comply with the provisions. Ensuring compliance and proper implementation of all group and location specific processes, regulations and directives for the designated areas of responsibility. This includes, in particular, adhering to the relevant compliance rules, health & safety and environmental regulations and data protection regulations.

- Planning & controlling: Plan, agree and manage the budget and headcount in accordance with key performance indicators. Monitor compliance with budget targets, introduce and supervise cost-cutting measures where necessary and develop an awareness of costs among staff. Controlling on the basis of targets and KPIs and ensuring reporting capability in collaboration with functional lead

- Contribute to the targets & direction of the organizational unit. Develop and coordinate implementation strategies and therefore further develop the individual function. Contribute to the development of overall market and growth strategies.

Qualifications
 
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in Technical and/or Economical.
 
Must have 7-10 years (total) of experience in the following:
- Advanced experience in the automotive industry (After-Sales, Production, Quality, R&D)

- English and German language (fluent in reading, writing and speaking)

- Competence in Project Management

- Strong negotiating skills

- Assertive behavior

- Intercultural experience

- Entrepreneurial personality

- Strong leadership skills and decision competence

- Comprehensive Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices.
