Reporting to the MD, the DMD has a wide range of responsibilities in corporate development, in the overall development and business success of the company. The successful candidate will assist and support the MD in providing leadership, strategic vision, planning, sales and operational leadership to ensure the company to compete successfully in the marketplace.
Principal Responsibilities
- Sales and business development
The DMD will build and maintain high-level contacts with existing and prospective customers. - Business and operation management
The DMD will assist and support the MD in leading the development and execution of the company’s business strategy with a view to creating sustainable business. He/she will assist the MD in making key management decisions. - Cross department liaison
The DMD will play a key role in cross department liaison, and to lead multi-discipline projects including OEM/ODM development projects. He/she will direct and balance the interests of various parties, to fulfill the most effective result in the best interest of the company.
Requirements
This position requires a high level of business acumen. The candidate should:
- Have a well recognized degree, preferably in engineering, with experience in manufacturing.
- Have wide exposure in the formulation of business strategies, sale & marketing, business development, operation/manufacturing, costing, finance. Among these functions, he should be strong in sales, analytical and sensitive to number.
- Have solid experience leading cross-department and cross-functional teams on multi-disciplined projects.
- Be good in relationship management in building diverse networks, interact with customers and other stakeholders, and create strategies in customer management to develop business opportunities.
- Be hard working, hands-on and with attention to details.
- Have good people skills and an excellent sensitivity of people interaction.
- Be presentable and able to communicate effectively with both the senior management team and general staff.
- Have excellent command of both English and Chinese.
