Job Description
Eaton’s CPD ICD Division is currently seeking for a Design Assistant (Drafter 1) to join our team. This position is based at our Haina facility. Primary Function This position assists Designer Drafter role on drawings and models creation and/or changes using CAD tools for parts, assemblies, following verbal or written instructions. Works on assignments applying technical skill sets and judgment. Essential Functions Prepare Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and Models of provided instructions defined by designer-drafters and project team. Update old drawing and documentation (hand-made drawings, Scanned, *CAL files) using CAD tool(Convert-to Pro/E). Use Design CAD Tools software and tools to their basic capacity. Demonstrates ability to develop quality documentation with Low / Medium technical skills. Responsible for produce neat and accurate documentation. Accomplish other instructions assigned by manager. Qualifications Specialized Knowledge Minimum education to include: High school graduate with credits in Algebra, Geometry and Physics. Spatial visualization ability. Bilingual: Spanish/English (medium level). Computer knowledge: MS Office Applications, AutoCAD. Desired: SolidWorks, Pro/E.
