Job Description

Principal Job Responsibilities:

 

May perform some or all of the following:  Develop, simulate and document new circuits.  Perform bench evaluations and debugging.  Collaborate across functions such as Test and Application engineers.  Generate and present design review documentation at peer review meetings.  Participate in product development for Analog/Mixed Signal, MEMs, Power, Digital or RF applications.  Develop layout plans and work with layout engineers.  Write datasheets and design notes.

 

Qualifications

 

Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics or related.  In addition to degree, must have:  strong understanding of the fundamentals of circuit design in BJT and CMOS technology; some experience (gained at any time) with circuit simulation, schematic, and layout tools; some experience (gained at any time) with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, or Matlab; lab experience (gained at any time) in evaluating circuits using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters; ability to work independently; ability to take ownership of a project from start to finish, for example a senior-level class project or equivalent extracurricular electronics project; ability to work in a team environment, for instance as demonstrated by group projects in a class or research lab or as a lab assistant; and solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective internal/external communication.
