Your area of responsibility:     
We are enabling our customer projects with state-of-the-art embedded memory IP solutions and support the design process from concept decisions to silicon ramp up.
With your expertise and experience, you will be responsible to drive our product design teams and find the best memory IP solutions for their design challenges. You will be partnering with our external IP vendors on specifications and release schedules, enable memory compilers and view generation, develop and provide optimization results for critical design KPIs and support the design team in the area of front end, back end and DfT related topics.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Enable memory compilers and optimization software in emerging technologies

  • Develop and validate RTL wrapper designs and DfT automation scripts

  • Optimize memory selection for low power applications

  • Define embedded memory IP integration guidelines for our customer design projects

  • Continuously driving QA and automation of memory IP products

  • Supporting design teams worldwide to meet product requirements.

  • Provide guidance and training to the design community

The team supports all foundry technology nodes used within Intel design teams, like 7nm, 5nm and even smaller. In this position continuous learning is mandatory as you will be confronted with many new challenges during your daily work (e.g. new embedded memory compiler concepts, SRAM bitcell challenges, verification, and EDA tool support).
Your day to day activities will include defining optimal technology enablement solutions for and with partners in the Data Center/Cloud, PC Client and IOT segments.

Qualifications

  • An excellent background in semiconductors is required, as you will work in close interaction with product design, flow and PDK development, as well as post silicon bring up teams.
    Education & Experience

  • Degree (BS/MS) in electrical engineering, material sciences, physics, chemistry, or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on professional experience on SRAM/ROM design and/or integration

  • Proven experience of digital design

  • Experience in power analysis and estimation, modeling and optimization

  • Knowledge of IP landscape for emerging technologies is beneficial

  • Know-how on digital or mixed-signal EDA tools

  • project-management background to keep up with our customers’ requirements and timelines

  • Pursuing highest quality standards

  • Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills needed

  • Demonstrated proficient documentations skills

  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Interest in software development/scripting is required and knowledge of Perl, Python, or Tcl is beneficial.

  • Experience with Windows 10, Office 365 and UNIX/LINUX systems is required

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
