As a Design Evaluation Engineer, you will be responsible for hardware design and software development that you will use for bench evaluation of PMBUS/I2C enabled Buck Switching Regulators. You will be actively collaborating with design, test, applications, marketing, and global evaluation teams to ensure designs exceed specifications and requirements.

 

Specific Responsibilities / Duties

  • Design individually, and as part of a team, software and hardware to characterize and evaluate on the lab bench state-of-the-art Buck Switching Regulators.
  • Develop detailed evaluation plans for high performance switching regulators.
  • Coordinate new product development from the design stage through product release and support successful product release.
  • Create evaluation development schedules and characterization plans for prototype evaluation and product release as well as provide input on new product development.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams from design, product engineering, test, and the quality organization to release reliable and manufacturable products to manufacturing on schedule and budget.
  • Candidate must have solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication.

 

Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate, BSEE, or MSEE
  • Course work in Analog Integrated Circuits preferred
  • Understanding of analog circuit fundamentals
  • Strong programming skills
  • Strong debug and data analysis skills
  • Experience with electronic lab equipment
  • Experience with schematic capture, simulation, and IC or PCB layout tools preferred
