Eaton’s Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Project Design Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Chanhassen, MN facility. Position Overview: The Design Project Engineer will design and support customer projects, new product development initiatives, existing product sustainability, and cost viability of filtration product lines to ensure that departmental goals are accomplished within given schedule and budget parameters. The Design Engineer will provide technical support to manufacturing and sales, while performing duties in accordance with company policy and procedures, Marketing, Sales & Financial objectives, customer requirements, Ethical Business Conduct Policy and contractual requirements. In this role, you will: Create drawings, engineering documentation, calculations and other engineering requirements as required for each project. Collaborate with Sales Department to assure customer technical requirements are fulfilled. Support new product design activities within product portfolio. Support project manager to ensure the project deliverables are on time and within prescribed budget. Provide technical support to production personnel in troubleshooting, problem solving and process improvements. Maintain and revise current filtration products including component drawings, literature, and marketing materials. Analyze, provide recommendations, and implement component and product cost efficiencies. Maintain awareness of industry advances in the engineering field through formal education, technical seminars and/or product design exhibitions. Regularly communicate and demonstrate the Eaton best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Currently possess or will have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date no later than June, 2022. Minimum one (1) year of experience in an engineering function, may include internship/co-op experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Chanhassen, MN facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience with Computer Aided Design tools (3D modeling and analysis) Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software, ERP system experience, MFG-Pro preferred.
