Computer Science: VEX robotics V’s sustainable lighting, Arduino programming V’s
bamboo builds, and students learn to inquire, iterate, and own their design thinking. You’ll
lead engaging Lower School projects, guide Middle School mini-options in coding or
product design, and confidently prepare learners for either IGCSE Design & Technology or
Computer Science. This all accumulates to building a pathway that can extend to IB DP. If

Requirements
• Proven experience teaching Lower School coding and product design in a blended
setting (e.g., VEX robotics, Arduino coding, sustainable materials, CAD/CAM).
• Competence teaching IGCSE Design & Technology, including guiding coursework
and preparing students for written exams.
• Strong CAD/CAM skills (e.g., Tinkercad/Fusion 360) and rapid prototyping (3D
printing, laser cutting).
• Solid workshop management and health & safety practice, including risk
assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ability to teach the design cycle (empathise, ideate, prototype, test) and
sustainability/user-centered design.
• Visual communication and portfolio coaching (sketching, technical drawing,
documentation).
• Effective assessment and feedback using clear success criteria; confident with
digital portfolios.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset; proactive in co-planning and cross-curricular
projects.
• Willingness to lead or support clubs and competitions (e.g., VEX robotics, maker
challenges) and student showcases.
• Strong differentiation for diverse learners and clear communication with students
and families.
