Job Description

Eaton’s Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Design Thinking Practitioner to join our team. This position is based at our Ellisville, MO location.

Position Overview:

 

As a Design Thinking Practitioner, you will be a member of the User Experience Team and play a role in this work by leading the charge to train product teams around the world and bring design transformation throughout the company – always firmly grounded by Human-Centered Design principles.

In this function you will:

 

  • Partner with product and user experience designers to craft and facilitate world-class design thinking exercises and workshops across multiple product applications, functions, and industries around the world.
  • Manage the end-to-end experience of workshops including discovery, planning, logistics, delivery, documentation, and synthesis
  • Champion design thinking and world-class workshops that are both intentionally and dynamically designed, teaching and sharing your expertise internally and externally
  • Inspire your workshop participants, seamlessly leading them through design methodologies that ladder up to strategic solutions. Navigate challenges and pivot when necessary, keeping groups on track along the way
  • Synthesize insights from workshops, helping to create strategic deliverables for clients
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships with clients and teams to help drive business solutions
  • Develop workshop training materials that can be reused and tailored for new workshops.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and execute the strategy to scale design thinking education throughout the company.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with design thinking efforts or improvement projects.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Ellisville, MO will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors' degree in Design
  • Experience facilitating Design Thinking or Human Centered Design workshops.
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience leading Design Thinking Efforts/Improvement Projects
  • Experience Creating designs for a wide variety of product experience.

 

Position Criteria:

 

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
