State Street’s Global Delivery Innovation (GDI) team is focused on delivering innovation and transformation solutions to State Street Global Services. Working together with a diverse team of professionals that span the innovation lifecycle, GDI supports the development of new prototypes, automated processes and its implementation across our global delivery teams. The Officer of Design and Transformation will work with other GDI team members to develop front end prototype applications. Developing process automation systems and prototyping new innovation tools will be an integral component of this role.

What You'll Do

• Provide efficient prototype development on innovation projects; develop Fintech products and platforms with the ideal befitting technologies;
• Responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact with in a web application; use HTML, CSS, JavaScript or other markup languages to code the website and web app designs created by designers;
• Develop software best practices like test-driven development (TDD), behavioral-driven development (BDD), and continuous integration / deployment

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with JS, HTML5, CSS. Experience in design and development of modular, re-usable components.
• Familiar with at least one front-end framework such as Angular, React etc
• Good experience with JSON processing
• Strong knowledge of web programming specifics and experience in building web-based applications
• Understanding of layout aesthetics; Experience with MVC frameworks and REST methodology (creating and consuming REST web services);
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment); Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• Identify use cases and create test cases to validate software design via manual and automated tests; Use cutting edge technology to create test frameworks and automate key business workflows
• Work effectively with cross-functional, distributed teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, prioritize work, establish deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress of team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and trouble-shooting skills. Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the project team.
• Entrepreneurial interest and business sense.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• General understanding of financial concepts is preferred.
