This is a Designer role reporting to the Engineering Manager I in the Business Area – Electrification located in Tianjin, China. You will be responsible for mechanical design of Medium Voltage Switchgear.

Your responsibilities

• Having the ability to select standard scheme and designing non-standard scheme according to the specific engineering requirements.
• Cooperating with DI to update the major solution design in order to meet the requirements of products, giving the answer to the question raised by our customers towards products.
• Cooperating in designing the project schedule to make sure the project on time, cooperating and managing production issue.
• Designing new structure scheme according to the market requirements, extending product functions, optimizing original design.
• Supporting on design scheme confirmation before receiving contract, preparing related technical documentations.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or mechanism related.
• Must have a comprehensive and systematic knowledge of mechanical design, mechanical drawing, machining and application processing with more than 3 years working experience in this field.
• Good command of power system knowledge and Medium Voltage switchgear technology on manufacturing process and standards. Familiarity with MS word, Excel, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc.
• Must have good communication skills with ability to communicate in English, both written and oral.
• Should be highly responsible, self-motivated, willing to take on additional tasks, have good learning ability, pragmatic spirit and a positive progressive attitude to work under pressure.
