Eaton’s Interconnect Technologies Division is currently seeking for a Designer ENG ITD Santiago to join our team. This position is based at our Santiago, Dominican Republic facility. Job Summary Responsible for performing engineering investigations and tasks as assigned. Collaborates with experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. Job Responsibilities Supports lower complexity of Current Product or Product Development projects or Engineering Services programs. Work as a part of a team to perform specific assigned tasks. Support other engineering and cross-functional disciplines to resolve issues. Perform routine engineering work in the application of standard techniques, procedures, processes, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Design of standard mechanical components and GD&T fundamentals (Geometric symbols and dimensioning) and equipped with the knowledge of mechanical engineering design fundamentals such as failure theories. Achieve the intended form, fits, and finishes for Runners projects using fits & tolerances, materials selection, and machining process. Create 3d models, drawings and drafting standards (using 3D CAD tools). Prepare feasibility, prototype and production documentation using accepted design practices and processes. Review Enovia Lifecycle Management projects in order to navigate thru part numbers, drawing and Change request (CR). Prepare technical presentations - oral & written - technical papers, and test plans as required. Qualifications Qualifications Associate Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Drafting or 70% of credits. 6 months (or more) experience in engineered drafting work involving CAD tools.. Computer knowledge: AutoCAD, MS Office Applications, and Solid Works.
