We are looking for an amazing designer who will play a key role in Dairy Farm’s success by delivering outstanding designs that reflect the spirit of our diverse Brands. Your primary mission is deliver innovative designs for our new and renovation projects throughout North Asia. In your role, you will be working collaboratively with various cross functional partners; inclusive of all phases of design from schematic through construction documents and administration; while honouring budget, schedule and operational requirements aligned with business needs.

The Job

• Develop amazing store designs in accordance with Brand Standards
• Assess site and demographic information and develop appropriate design for each site
• Select appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes and equipment that appropriate for each site
• Provide custom details where necessary
• Effectively communicate project status with team members on a consistent basis
• Collaborate with external consultants to deliver project
• Participate in design reviews with management

The Person

• Professional degree in Interior Design and/or a related field of study
• Minimum 2 years, experience in multiunit Retail, Hospitality or Restaurant Design or Development organization
• Design experience in international markets, Asia a plus
• Working knowledge of building and health codes and compliance issues
• Current knowledge of industry trends in retail store and grocery design including fixtures, furniture and finishes
• Ability and working knowledge of colour, materiality, foundational design principles
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, 3D visualization software a plus
• Detail minded, good communication and interpersonal skills
