This person will play a vital role in our desktop (DT) customer and ecosystem success by providing technical engagement and enabling support for desktop partners in APAC.

The DT Platform Management Engineer position focuses on partnering and influencing strategic deliverables throughout the organization. The position requires a combination of business acumen, organization savvy, networking capabilities and expertise in certain technical areas. The strategic planner runs certain strategic process, visits customers, and influences the organization via these processes. Activities include running component, ingredient, platform or initiative POPs, competitive analysis, market analysis, and participating in multiple strategic task forces.

A successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• APAC geo resource for ODM's with content expertise on both SoC (DT, WS) and C/S roadmap, ensuring full alignment of ODM's to roadmap.
• Coordinating Exec syncs with SMG and DWCG Sr. leaders, tracking and managing issues with supply vs. ODM demand, coordinating BMG reviews and guidance as needed.
• Collaborating with CCG BU Sales and PMSE on ODM engagement and co-marketing activities.
• To ensure platform technologies readiness (memory, thermal solution, PCIe transition) with ecosystem partners align with platform launch / TTM expectations and strategy
• Ensure alignment of Channel specific roadmap items for both SoC and C/S are captured correctly in the quarterly 5Q / 8Q roadmap publications
• Strong working knowledge of our adjacencies in addition to our Client roadmap - aligned with desktop strategy and design win targets

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical STEM degree with 4+ years of industry experience
• 3+ years of customer engineering and/or technical marketing experience
• 3+ years of experience with Processor/Platform technologies like memory, PCIe, Thunderbolt, power supply
• 3+ years of experience technical development, debug with MNC's, channel customers and/or PC IHV/ISVs
• Experience in working with remote teams with minimum supervision

The successful candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

• Self-disciplined and independent worker, but still team player.
• Driving or leading platform usages and experiences for client technology preferred
• Strong business acumen of the channel and client roadmap
• Good customer engagement skills and experience
• Excellent verbal and written English and local language, good communication and presentation skills in front of external technical audiences.
• Occasionally travel across Intel sites and to customer sites is expected.
