Purpose of the role:
The successful candidate must be a highly proficient English speaker and will have the ability to provide personal IT support to include Group Executives and members of the Board of Directors. IT support will be provided where and when required by the Executive to enable them to perform their role with maximum effectiveness. Services provided include desktop/laptop, email, printing, blackberry and mobile telephony.
The role will require outstanding communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in a clear, concise and effective manner, whilst instilling confidence in your ability to take ownership of an issue and see it through to successful completion. In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and support services in the Windows and Mac environments
- Troubleshooting operating systems and applications
- Incident diagnosis and resolution
- Project work where necessary
- Remote management and deployment of client software packages
- Additional event presentation support when needed

- Must be a highly proficient English speaker
- Manage multiple work streams in parallel in an effective and proactive manner.
- Must be a good problem solver and demonstrate the ability to adapt to new and changing technologies.
- Demonstrates a high level of ownership for the service.
- High level of commitment and goes the ‘extra mile’ to deliver exceptional service
- Personally resilient, and able to deal with problems and deliver outcomes in pressured situations
- To be able to engender confidence and manage expectation levels internally and externally even when providing a negative response to a request
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Good time management and prioritisation practices
Technical Skills
- A knowledge and understanding of proactive Incident and Problem Management
- Be technically capable at all levels of a reactive support environment
- Strong understanding of SLAs and various incident management tools based on ITIL methodology
- Familiar with building, configuring and troubleshooting Macintosh and PC hardware components.
- Windows Win7/2000/NT/98/AppleMac
- Working knowledge of Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of multiple platforms [OWA, VPN]
- Knowledge of Mobile technologies BlackBerry, iOS, iPhones, Windows Mobile etc.
- Configuration of user accounts in Active Directory.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP standards and networking.
- Must have the capability to replace components on all types of hardware.
