Destination Services Sales Manager

What you will be doing: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Market Destination & Resort services to prospect, tentative and definite groups coming to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
  • Be able to Pivot to multiple roles beyond sales when business levels are needed:  operations, billing, administrative, etc.  
  • Maintain current files on all groups – keep records of contact made
  • Establish relationship with “internal” clients such as Resort Sales Managers and Conference Planning Managers
  • Develop creative and innovative proposals for clients
  • Organize and manage site or pre-planning visits with potential clients
  • Attend vendor events and keep current on local happenings 
  • Help develop new tours, activities, theme parties, etc. as needed
  • Assist with client site inspections (planning and implementation)
  • Work with Director of department on marketing plans and other tasks as needed
  • Keep abreast of new tours and venues
  • Attend weekly Operations Meeting
  • Attend monthly Sales Meeting 
  • Collect all vendor related invoices, process them for payment and post all group related revenue to the master account

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant Sales experience in the local destination industry.   
  • Hands on experience working with local Transportation, Decor, Entertainment, Tour, Golf, etc; a huge plus. 
  • Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and trends
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Social Tables, CAD, Opera, Birchstreet or e-Destin a plus. 
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when required
  • Must be a Team Player that is able to pivot role and responsibility based on business levels.
  • Bachelors in Hospitality, Business, Sales or Marketing preferred
  • Knowledge of local event vendor industry & involvement in industry trade groups a plus
  • 2-4 years of sales experience preferred
  • CMP is desired
  • Involvement in industry trade groups
  • Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines.
