Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms. We are currently seeking a DevOps Toolchain Architect to join our Applications, Product, Platform Center of Excellence (APPCOE) team. No relocation is being offered for this position. The candidate will be based at any Eaton facility in the US. If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate will work from a remote Eaton facility or an approved home office. The DevOps Toolchain Architect will deliver, maintain, and update technology and platform solutions to address business and technical requirements, leveraging standard principles and patterns. This role focuses on the delivery of DevOps Toolchain Platform as a Service. This position is responsible for business added requirement analysis, configuration, customization, upgrade, support, and documentation of DevOps Toolchain tools in order to help develop efficiencies and continuous improvements in all aspects of software development management processes and systems. In this role: You will provide subject matter expertise to and lead platform and system design, development, and implementation You will work with resources across functions to deliver technology and platform solutions to meet customer requirements, providing solution options and highlighting operational or security risks You will tune and configure technologies and platforms to meet customer and operational requirements You will coordinate and regularly updates technology, platform, and documentation to ensure operational health and security You will monitor technology and platform to ensure required performance, availability, and capacity. Identifies gaps in monitoring and potential impact on service delivery. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required Minimum 3 years IT experience is required Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of DevOps processes and Agile concepts Experience with software distributed systems, DevOps Pipelines, Artifacts and Software Testing tools Experience in configuration and automation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes Knowledge of development and maintenance solutions for operational administration, disaster recovery, security and performance monitoring across different environments of PaaS, SaaS and On-Premise DevOps Tools Preferred Qualifications: Large scale software development practices Experience with Containers/Kubernetes Experience with automation tools and scripting Working knowledge of Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform or similar technologies We make what matters work.
