Job Title: Develop Engineer (Intern)

BU/Function: Estane, Engineering Polymer

Location: Shanghai, Songjiang

Summary of Responsibilities

This role is a member of the AP synthesis development team. He/She is expected to provide updates, findings and insights based on the understanding of thermoplastic polyurethane processing and application performance through academic study like paper research, etc. He/She is also expected to provide other support like DOE working for innovative technology/new product development to meet key application challenges and market trends.

Essential Job Functions

Participate in molecules synthesis to ensure new concept validation project on track.

Build versatile chemistry by scientific literature or patent review, learn state of the art of new polyester/polyurethane molecules and material.

Proactively communicate with team leader on project progress and timely address potential gaps and barriers.

Regularly make presentation within R&D to sharing key findings and own understanding in development work.

Documentation of new findings, especially technology for patentability discussion.

Upgrade lab synthesis/analysis facilities based on project needs.

职位要求：

Skills, Qualifications, Experience and other Requirements:

Solid knowledge of chemistry (polymer related majors are preferred);

Bachelor degree and above (Master and Ph.D degrees are preferred);

Can work at least 2 days per week for internship work at Songjiang lab;

Basic principle of analytic methods for data analysis (such as, FTIR, DSC, GPC, Rheometer. etc.).

Hands-on experience in polyester/polyamide synthesis will be a plus;

Be passionate in design polymer molecules;

A good team player.
