JOB PURPOSE

Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions to aid business teams generate insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

SCOPE & COMPLEXITY
•              Design, develop and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools) & integrating across multiple platforms

•              Generate reports for internal and external customers for business performance monitoring and business decision-making.

•              Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

•              Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

•              Translate business needs to technical specifications

•              Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting

•              Evaluate and improve existing BI systems

•              Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

•              Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses

•              Maintain business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard and ad-hoc reports.

•              Develop and update technical documentation

•              Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.

•              Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

•              Structures and manages the execution of project/program tasks with general supervision and little guidance and recommends new approaches

LEADERSHIP & CONTRIBUTION

•              Contributing Independently.

•              May contribute through others on key projects (can teach L4 and L5 Developers & share experiences with others, with the potential to support the business)

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Normally requires a Bachelor Degree from a four-year college or university

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

No experience required.

LANGUAGES

Ideally Fluent English Proficiency (reading, writing, and conversation).

SKILLS /COMPETENCIES

•              Knowledge of C++ (C++ 11 and/or 14 preferred), C#, .NET, Python, SQL, Java, Javascript, HTML, R and XML languages

•              Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Excel and SQL Server Management Studio

•              Knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint, PowerApps, Flow and Sharepoint management

•              Strong visual design skills oriented towards data visualization and representation

•              Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

•              Ideally, demonstrated ability to work with a very large code base (~4 million lines) and be able to navigate and quickly understand the functionality in it
