Main Responsibility and Accountability
Be responsible for at least ONE of the job functions as follow:
The operation of the Student Development Advisors;
The operation of professional student service program;
The operation of the Buddy Program System;
The operation of Student’s data analysis to early detect concerning students;
The maintain of internal system and make effort to improve the system continuously;
Student Development Advice Centre and Buddy Program internal promotion;
Student Affairs Centre staff competency training and supervisor system;
Urgent cases handing if any and follow up;
To liaise with academic department and teaching centers to establish collaboration mechanism and system to provide satisfying community and supports for students where necessary;
To coordinate senior Development Advisor and conduct meeting;
To monitor Development Advisors’ performance and conduct QA per semester;
To transfer information between other departments and internal teams;
To act as Development Advisor, provides guidance for around 200 XJTLU UG students.
Position Qualification Requirement
Skills and Knowledge
With solid cross-cultural background, excellent written and spoken skills in both English and Chinese languages;
Highly proficient IT skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and Access), Outlook and PowerPoint;
With solid knowledge of and good familiarity with XJTLU culture and education philosophies;
Excellent communication, coordination and presentation skills;
Ability to work on a variety of tasks at the same time, and to organize and prioritize them, including coping with unpredictable volumes of work and busy periods;
Achieve outstanding awarded at least once(or excellent awarded at least twice in latest QA(for internal staff);
Dependability, reliability and ability to produce work of high quality;
With enthusiasm and good familiarly with the work of student administrative affairs;
Highly motivated and professionally committed, and willing to work on weekends and even on holidays, where necessary;
Handle emergent cases independently and assist other Development Advisor on such situation if necessary;
Capable of empathy and other communication skills;
Be trained on psychological knowledge related.
Qualifications and Experience
With 2-year senior working experience at least in student affairs in higher education sector, or more than 4-year working experience in management, ideally with master degree;
Major in Education, Psychology, Management or related.
