Job Description

The Analog Garage brings together engineers, researchers, and business leaders to develop new technologies, capabilities, and business models. Our Software Engineering Group works with our Algorithmic Systems Group, Systems Engineering Group, and Emerging Business Team, as well as other Analog Devices business units and start-ups. We work on a variety of applications, such as computer vision, robotics, wearable electronics, and intelligent edge devices.

 

Objectives

  1. Play an important role increasing the team’s productivity by developing flexible CICD pipelines. The pipelines support a wide variety of deployment targets that reach from resource constrained Systems on a Chip to complex Kubernetes Clusters hosted at the major cloud providers.
  2. Administer and maintain our GitLab installation in collaboration with IS Infrastructure as the key partner for all developers in the Analog Garage and many other software teams within Analog Devices.
  3. Design, implement, and unit test components of our Edge to Cloud orchestration system Cradle.

 

Other Expectations

Design for modularity and reuse. Develop robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservice-driven architectures. Write user and API documentation. Develop unit and integration tests.

 

Qualifications

BSCS or equivalent.

Candidates with at least an undergraduate degree don’t require prior professional experience.

To realistically succeed, you should be comfortable with all of the below, and expert at several of these concepts and technologies:

  • Experience with Gitlab, GitHub/Jenkins, Jira/BitBucket/Bamboo, or similar
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong Linux fundamentals; comfortable in a shell (bash, zsh or similar)
  • Prior experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Proficient in a major language like JavaScript/TypScript, Rust, C++, or Python
  • Familiar with build systems like cmake or Gradle
