Job Description
Position Description: Reporting to Director of DaaS Global Bid and Contract Management. We are seeking an experienced Governance and Pricing Assurance Manager to support Lenovo’s worldwide “Device as a Service” (“DaaS”) sales function to further development and manage our commercial governance framework from initial customer engagement via pricing assurance, to contract signature and beyond. We will expect you to be pro-active, pragmatic and commercially astute individual with extensive experience in developing and managing commercial governance processes and in pricing assurance. Your is to refine and develop the existing governance process to ensure that opportunities are adequately scrutinized, qualified and quality checked as they progress through the deal lifecycle in order to minimize risk and maximize profitability. Your responsibilities will include: • Governance Process : Working with Sales, Bid, Contract, Legal, Finance, Solution Architect and Service Delivery teams to document, refine, and further develop the existing DaaS commercial deal governance processes to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are identified and engaged in a timely manner. • Management : Organize and manage the day to day operation of all relevant DaaS governance processes and meetings, and manage continual process improvement. Ensure all deals are subject to the appropriate governance and approval processes and that all relevant approvals are obtained in a timely manner.  Maintain a global database of stakeholders along with approval thresholds and delegations. • Communication : Ensure clear, consistent and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders on the commercial deal governance including but not limited to meetings, processes, entry and exit criteria, outcomes, and reporting. • Pricing Assurance : Work collaboratively with the Sales teams, Bid Managers, Finance and Solution Architects to ensure the accuracy and validity of commercial pricing prior to issuance to customers for all deals. Escalate non- standard pricing requests for review and approval to appropriate stakeholders. • Record and track deal status and governance decisions for audit purposes and maintain a repository that provides relevant metrics and reporting that ties directly to the Sales Pipeline. • Continuous improvement : Ability to identify compliance, process and program gaps and work with senior team members to enable changes required. Provide continuous improvement of the deal governance process to ensure whilst rigorous and robust, and risk is minimized, the process is streamlined, efficient and impact on sales velocity is minimized. #### Position Requirements: • 4+ years of experience in a commercial deal governance, deal desk and/or pricing assurance role in a large multi-national business unit environment and working across multiple time zones and cultures. • Experience in governance process design, implementation, day to day operation and management of commercial deal governance processes • Experience in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and associated tools, including Visio and Teams • Highly numerate, with experience in pricing, deal analysis or assurance with excellent analytical skills and excellent modelling skills using Excel • Strong team player who builds strong working relationships with internal stakeholders • Commercial awareness with ability to understand the sales team’s perspective and balance commercial, contractual and legal risk • Experience of subscription based “as a service” commercial models and equipment leasing/funding  is a bonus. • First class interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders • Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous and ever changing environment • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, minimize and proactively manage risk What Lenovo can offer you: • Opportunities for career development & growth • Opportunity to have impact and bring own added value • Access to various trainings • Performance based rewards Lenovo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
